Artistic Statement

I believe that the best art is created through respect, collaboration, a strong desire to play, and an unwavering spirit of curiosity. As an artist, I strive to embody these qualities in every aspect of my artistic work; actor, director, and playwright. Telling stories in theatre is a way to see the humanistic experience unfold, grapple with tough topics, journey into new worlds, uncover hidden gems, and ask challenging questions of ourselves and of those sharing in the experience with us. I believe theatre is a place for us to reflect and question, not to seek answers or solutions.

I want to make theatre that strives for transformational experiences for both the artists and audience. I want to make theatre that digs deep; exploring where our differences align and where they do not as a way to facilitate change, spark conversation, challenge preconceived notions, and engage minds, bodies, and spirits. I want to create theatre that is unapologetically bold and magical, leaving its imprint on our souls beyond the theatre doors.
